Military Medal 'For gallantry and devotion to duty near VILLERS BRETONNEUX on 3rd May, 1918. During the attack he was continuously exposed to shell fire and machine gun fire when out on the lines and it was in no small way due to his magnificent work that communication was maintained. His gallant conduct and devotion to duty were magnificent.'
