Military Medal 'This man who is a Battalion stretcher bearer did excellent work in carrying wounded under very heavy shell fire for a period of 48 hours on the 9th and 10th October, 1917, at BROODSEINDE. On three occasions this man volunteered to bring in wounded men from No Man's Land. He did gallant work in assisting to bring in Captain HALL, MC. During the whole of the operations he showed absolute disregard for his own personal safety.'
