Joined 8th Bn, Gallipoli, 6 August 1915.

Wounded in action, 1 December 1915 (bruised shoulder), and admitted to 1st Light Horse Field Ambulance; transferred 1st Australian Casualty Clearing Station, 8 December 1915 (shell shock); to HS 'Oxfordshire', 12 December 1915, and admitted to 3rd Auxiliary Hospital, Heliopolis, 15 December 1915; rejoined Bn, Tel el Kebir, 7 January 1916.

Transferred to 60th Bn, 22 February 1916; taken on strength, 24 February 1916.

Embarked Alexandria to join the British Expeditionary Force, 18 June 1916; disembarked Marseilles, France, 29 June 1916.

Reported missing in action, 19 July 1916.

Now, 25 August 1916, reported 'Killed in Action, 19 July 1916'.
