Embarked for England on board 'Warilda', 29 April 1917; admitted to 5th Southern General Hospital, Portsmouth, 30 April 1917. Transferred to 1st Auxiliary Hospital, 18 July 1917; granted furlough, 21 July 1917, to report to No. 3 Command Depot, Hurdcott, 23 August 1917. Marched out to Overseas Training Bn, Perham Downs, 29 September 1917. Marched out to No. 1 Command Depot, Sutton Veny, 5 November 1917; thence to No. 2 Command Depot, Weymouth.

Commenced return to Australia on board HT 'Persic', 21 December 1917; disembarked Melbourne, 12 February 1918; discharged, 21 May 1918.
