Taken on strength, 23rd Bn, Gallipoli, 25 October 1915.

Admitted to HS 'Oxfordshire', 12 December 1915 (trench feet), and transferred to No 3 Auxiliary Hospital, Heliopolis, 15 December 1915 (frostbite); to Concalescent Depot, Helouan, 28 December 1915; discharged to duty, 8 January 1916; rejoined Bn, Canal Zone, 21 February 1916.

Transferred to 6th Training Bn, 17 March 1916.

Admitted to No 3 Auxiliary Hospital, Heliopolis, 30 March 1916 (internal injury); transferred to Australian Base, Cairo, for Medical Board (non-compos mentis).

Taken on strength, 60th Bn, Duntroon Plateau, 20 April 1916.

Embarked Alexandria to join the British Expeditionary Force, 18 June 1916; disembarked Marseilles, France, 29 June 1916.

Reported Missing in Action, 19 July 1916.

Court of Enquiry, held in the field, 4 August 1917, pronounced fate as 'Killed in Action, 19 July 1916'.
