Military Medal 'For gallantry and devotion to duty near VILLERS BRETONNEUX on 3rd May, 1918. When his Company went over in the attack he went forward with a telephone. When this was blown up Private BAILEY returned through the most intense barrage, obtained another phone and established communication. His devotion to duty was magnificent.'
