Meritorious Service Medal

'For specially meritorious service during the period from 25th February to 16th September 1918. He has acted as the Accountant with the Divisional Canteens and in that position has successfully kept the records of all transactions amounting to very considerable sums of money. In addition he has displayed very commendable energy and initiative in securing supplies and in getting these supplies forward to troops.'
