Admitted to 6th Field Ambulance, 15 September 1915, and transferred to 1st Australian Casualty Clearing Station (influenza). Embarked Anzac Cove on HS 'Nevasa' and proceeded to Egypt for further treatment, 15 September 1915; admitted to 1st Auxiliary Hospital, Heliopolis, 19 September 1915; transferred to British Red Cross Convalescent Depot, Montazah, 1 October 1915; discharged to duty, 31 October 1915. Embarked Alexandria on HMT 'Alnwick Castle' and proceeded to rejoined the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force, 8 November 1915; detached from duty with 21st Bn, 28 August 1916; attached to Australian Headquarters for duty with YMCA, Cairo, 1 January 1917.
