Admitted to 31st Australian General Hospital, 15 October 1918 (malaria); transferred to Convalescent Depot, Boulac, 23 October 1918; discharged to 5th Light Horse Details, Moascar, 2 November 1918.

Admitted to No 2 Australian Stationary Hospital, 6 November 1918 (dysentery); transferred to and admitted to Desert Mounted Column Rest Camp, Port Said, 20 November 1918; to 14th Australian General Hospital, Port Said, 3 December 1918 (malaria).

Commenced return to Australia from Suez on board HT 'Aneas', 1 January 1919; disembarked Melbourne, 5 February 1919, and proceeded to Broadmeadows by the first available transport; discharged, Brisbane (medically unfit), 3 April 1919.
