Military Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry in action near WARLENCOURT on 28th February, 1917. This N.C.O. was in charge of a bombing attack on MALT TRENCH. He showed great coolness and courage and under the most adverse conditions (the approaches and in places being waste deep in mud) set a fine example of fortitude. During the whole of the operations this N.C.O. was untiring and set a splendid example to his men.'
