Enlisted Paddington, Sydney, 13 April 1940; embarked from Fremantle for Palestine on board HM Transport 3, 22 September 1940. Invalided back to Australia (gun shot wound, right thigh), and discharged, 12 June 1942. Total active service: 341 days.
