Medals |
Military Medal 'As Company Runners during the operation near LIHONS on 16th August, 1918, they displayed intense zeal and inspiring bravery. After the advance the enemy put down an intense bombardment on our new positions but notwithstanding this, Privates GOOD and GOUGH, at great personal risk, carried forward ammunition to the front line and then repeatedly carried despatches to Battalion headquarters, traversing heavily shelled areas in doing so. Throughout the recent operations, their willingness, cheerful devotion to duty and gallantry have been beyond all praise.'
