Allotted to and proceeded to join 51st Bn, Tel el Kebir, 3 March 1916. Transferred to Divisional Artillery, taken on strength of 24th Howitzer Brigade, and posted to 112th Battery, 16 March 1916. Transferred to 4th Divisional Ammunition Column, 18 May 1916.

Proceeded from Alexandria to join the British Expeditionary Force, 6 June 1916; disembarked Marseilles, 13 June 1916.

On leave, 22 January 1918; rejoined unit from leave, 9 February 1918. Detached to 13th Infantry Brigade, 24 April 1918.
