'This Non-Commissioned Officer is recommended for his most excellent work and devotion to duty. The period under review was one of strenuous offensive operations, and it is due to the hard work and devoted service of this Non-Commissioned Officer that his company under all circumstances were so well supplied with everything possible which contributed to their physical and bodily comfort, both in action and during the rare periods of rest. The very useful work done by him in no small measure contributed to the unvarying success of the Company to which he belongs.'
