'For consistent and thorough attention to his duties from 22nd September, 1917, till 24th February, 1918. This Warrant Officer has served in the Administrative Office of the Division since its arrival in FRANCE, and since September, 1917, has carried out the duties of Senior Clerk of that Branch. On all occasions during stress of heavy work, and particularly prior to, and during the Offensive operation against PASSCHENDAELE, in October, 1917, he controlled the Clerical Staff with marked efficiency, and his ability, energy and cheerfulness under all conditions materially helped the organisation and completion of the extensive Clerical duties required by these operations.'
