Proceeded to France through Folkestone, 14 May 1917; taken on strength of Australian Infantry Base Depot, Etaples, 15 May 1917; struck off strength, 28 May 1917; taken on strength of 11th Bn, 28 May 1917.

Admitted to 3rd Australian Field Ambulance, 17 July 1917; transferred to 56th Casualty Clearing Station, 17 July 1917; to Ambulance Train '2', 22 July 1917; admitted to 1st General Hospital, Etretat, 23 July 1917 (pleurisy and bronchitis); transferred to No 4 Convalescent Depot, 29 July 1917; discharged to 1st Australian Divisional Base Depot, 3 August 1917 (classified A); moved into the field, 24 August 1917; rejoined unit from hospital, 26 August 1917.
