Admitted to 15th Australian Field Ambulance, 3 March 1916 (paratitus), and transferred to 2nd Australian Stationary Hospital (mumps); discharged to unit, and rejoined Bn, 23 March 1916.

Admitted to 8th Australian Field Ambulance, Ferry Post, 4 May 1916 (influenza); discharged to duty, 8 May 1916.

Embarked Alexandria to join the British Expeditionary Force, 18 June 1916; disembarked Marseilles, France, 29 June 1916.

Reported Missing in Action, 19 July 1916.
