Military Medal

'For conspicuous gallantry under heavy fire near ALBERT 7th April, 1918. On 7th April a man was wounded between two of the outpost groups and remained where he fell under heavy fire. Lance Corporal HASKINGS dashed into the open to bring him in and an enemy machine gun was turned on him forcing him to return to the cover of his post. He had succeeded in dragging the wounded man two yards nearer to his post. He dashed out and repeated this act on four occasions each time being driven back by the fire of the machine gun and enemy snipers, until the man was brought into the cover of his post where he was promptly bandaged.'
