Admitted to 1st Canadian Casulty Clearing Station, 2 December 1916 (mumps: slight); transferred same day to 7th General Hospital, St Omer; discharged to Base Details, 23 December 1916.

Admitted to 10th Australian Field Ambulance, 15 January 1917 (injury to left knee); discharged, 18 January 1917.

Admitted to 9th Field Ambulance, 6 February 1917 (influenza); transferred to Divisional Rest Station, 8 February 1917; discharged to duty, 15 February 1917.

Wounded in action, 15 May 1917; remained at duty.
