Wounded in action, 5 February 1917 (shell shock); admitted to 21st Casualty Clearing Station, 6 February 1917 (nervous shock); transferred to 8th Australian Field Ambulance, 15 February 1917 (tachycardia); to 4th Division Rest Station, 15 February 1917; to 45th Casualty Clearing Station, 28 February 1917 (tachycardia); to St John Ambulance, Etaples, 2 March 1917 (disordered action of the heart); to England, 11 March 1917, and admitted to War Hospital, Stratford-on-Avon, 12 March 1917; discharged on furlough, 11 April, to report to Training Depot, Hurdcott, 26 April 1917.
