Although the bombardment was intense causing the occupants to vacate portion of the town in which dump was located, this N.C.O. remained at his post and encouraged those who were issuing under his orders. The Supply Officer, CORBIE, has reported on the gallantry and devotion to duty of this N.C.O. under very adverse conditions.'
