Meritorious Service Medal 'For continuous good service and devotion to duty from 25th February to 16th September, 1918. Sergeant HILL has acted as Quartermaster Transport Sergeant and has performed his duties very efficiently under the most arduous circumstances. By his ceaseless energy supplies have been maintained often under heavy enemy shelling. He sets a splendid example to his comrades.'
