The following extract from a communication received from next-of-kin in respect ofthe late No. 3388 Pte. C.A.G.A. Hilzinger, 54th Battalion, is referred for favor of your attention in connexion with the compilation of war records:- I hope and trust I am not too late sending this in. I know I am a long way behind time when I received it. This is just to say my late husband also served in the South African War, 2nd NSW Mounted Rifles, his number 139. He had the South African Medal with five bars. He also served with the Garrison Artillery for some time after his return from S.A."
