Distinguished Conduct Medal 'For marked gallantry and fine leadership. During the attack of 29 September, 1918, on Bony, he took charge of the whole section of four guns, pushed them forward, and engaged the enemy. He undoubtedly contributed largely to the success of the operations on that day.'
