Distinguished Conduct Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. When moving with the advanced cavalry screen he and his section captured the G.O.C. of an enemy division, his staff, and seventeen other ranks. They also pursued a party of the enemy and took twenty prisoners. His work was particularly good during this operation.'
