Military Medal 'During night 23rd August, 1918, and on the two succeeding days near PROYART, Driver HOOD was on duty continuously with a Ford Motor Ambulance, and carried wounded from Regimental Aid Posts. On the morning 24th August, 1918 when carrying two urgent cases, he found the road blocked with two limbers which had been hit by a shell. He cleared the road under shell fire and delivered his patients safely. On the 24th August, 1918 he was caught in a barrage and his car was damaged. After reporting to the A.D.S. he proceeded to workshops and reported back a few hours later and resumed work.'
