Other details from Roll of Honour Circular"Cpl Hope was a Signaller and at the time of his death was sending urgent messages from Captain A.E.G. Campbell to Lieut Col. G Langley. Captain Campbell wrote stating that Cpl Hope left him btravely and cheerfully with these messages, the rifle and shell fire being awful at the time. This soldiers name is on the Port Melbourne School Roll of Honour. A tree was planted in his memory in the Honor Avenue, North Road, Caulfield, Victoria." Details from Wife.
