Military Medal 'On 12th August, 1918, east of MORCOURT, Motor Driver HOSKIN was driving his "Ford" ambulance car continuously backwards and forwards completed a 48 hour tour through heavy shell fire, bombing and machine gun fire. He stuck to his post although several direct hits were registered on the position and although worn out through physical and mental fatigue by the excessive danger he ran, he continued to run his car carefully to the furthermost position to collect any wounded carried there. His courage was beyond all praise and it was owing to this man's zeal and devotion to duty that many wounded men were rapidly moved and got into position of safety at the earliest possible opportunity.'
