Miscellaneous information from cemetery records | Australian War Graves Services (London) wrote to Base Records, Melbourne, 9 April 1920, quoting a letter from Humbert's family: 'About six weeks ago ... I find I have made a mistake. I said the Star of David to be on the headstone, and on Saturday I read in the paper the Star of David belonged to the Jewish Order. As we all belong to the Church of England I would like to cross [sic].' |
