Meritorious Service Medal

'This man has a most excellent record of service in which he has at all times set a conspicuous example to his Comrades. During the operations in October 1917 Corporal HUNT was in charge of a Tent Sub-Division working at an A.D.S. on the YPRES - MENIN Road. He worked indefatigably with a minimum of sleep or rest for a period of six days, during which a large number of wounded were dealt with. It was largely owing to the good work of this man and the inspiring example he set his fellows, that the treatment and evacuation wounded from the A.D.S. proceeded perfectly smoothly.'
