Admitted to No 8 Field Hospital Serapeum, 6 February 1916 (orchitis); transferred to No 1 Casualty Clearing Station, Serapeum, 7 February 1916; to No 1 Australian Stationary Hospital, Ismailia, 7 February 1916 (parotitis); to base hospital per No 4 Base Hospital Train, 8 February 1916; admitted to No 4 Auxiliary Hospital, Abbassia, 8 February 1916 (mumps); discharged to duty, 29 February 1916, and marched in Overseas Base, Ghezireh; rejoined 31st Bn, Tel el Kebir, 5 March 1916.

Embarked Alexandria to join the British Expeditionary Force, 16 June 1916; disembarked Marseilles, France, 23 June 1916.

Posted missing, 20 July 1916.

Now reported killed in action 20 July 1916 after disc transmitted from A.O.K. 6, 3 October 1916.

An undated translated letter from Germany: 'Iden: disc handed over by Intell: Officer of 6th Army H.Qrs. 17/8/16. Herewith is confirmed a Death Card according to which Australian Prisoner of War Pte. T.V. Hunt, Iden: disc 1054, of 31st Battalion, R.C., died on 20 July 1916.'

Handwritten note on the bottom of B.103 states: 'buried in the vicinity of Fleurbaix, Sh[eet] 36 NW.'
