Military Medal 'During the operations on 23rd/24th June, 1918 South West of METEREN this man acted as Company runner. After the objectives had been gained he reconnoitred them all and kept his Company Commander well posted with information. He guided forward several carrying parties, he continually volunteered for duty and carried it out with satisfaction and cheerfulness. He displayed great bravery, devotion to duty and untiring energy.'
