Proceeded to France from 13th Training Bn, Codford, 10 April 1917; marched into 4th Australian Divisional Base Depot, Etaples, 11 April 1917; moved out to field, 14 April 1917; taken on strength of 52nd Bn, 16 April 1917. Abmitted to 4th Australian Field Ambulance, 26 August 1917, and transferred to 2nd Australian Casualty Clearing Station (shrapnel wound, palate); to 2nd Australian General Hospital, Wimereux, 26 August 1917. Proceeded to England on HS 'Princess Elizabeth', 30 August 1917; admitted to 1st Birmingham War Hospital, Rednal, 31 August 1917; transferred to 3rd Auxiliary Hospital, Dartford, 14 September 1917; discharged on furlough, 28 September 1917; marched into Training Depot, Codford, 12 October 1917; marched into Overseas Training Brigade,Longbridge Deverill, 25 October 1917.
