Taken on strength, C Company, 18th Bn, Gallipoli, 29 September 1915. Admitted to 2nd Australian General Hospital, Ghezirah, 23 January 1916 (ear trouble); transferred to 3rd Australian General Hospital, 19 February 1916.

Commenced return to Australia from Suez on board HT 'Runic', 11 April 1916; disembarked Sydney, 14 May 1916; discharged, 11 July 1916 (medically unfit).
