Embarked from Melbourne, 20 June 1916; disembarked Plymouth, England, 10 August 1916. Admitted to hospital, Lark Hill, 20 August 1916 (chill, measles); discharged same day. Admitted to Fargo Military Hospital, 22 August 1916 (bronchitis); date of discharge not recorded.

Proceeded overseas to France, 22 November 1916.

Proceeded on leave to England, 28 February 1918; rejoined unit from leave, 16 March 1918. To hospital, 31 December 1918 (pleurisy); transferred to 3rd Australian General Hospital, Abbeville, 31 December 1918; to 39th General Hospital, Havre, 7 January 1919. Transferred to England, 15 January 1919; admitted to 1st Australian Dermatological Hospital, Bulford, 16 January 1919. Discharged, and marched in to No. 1 Camp, Parkhouse, 29 March 1919. Total period of treatment for venereal disease: 89 days. Marched out to 2nd Training Brigade, 8 April 1919.

Commenced return to Australia on board 'Runic', 27 April 1919; disembarked Melbourne, 10 June 1919; discharged, 25 July 1919.
