Joined 8th Bn, Anzac, 7 December 1915.

Disembarked Alexandria, 7 January 1916 (general Gallipoli evacuation).

Transferred to 60th Bn, 22 February 1916; taken on strength of 60th Bn, Tel el Kebir, 24 February 1916.

Transferred to 59th Bn, 15 March 1916; taken on strength of 59th Bn, Tel el Kebir, 15 March 1916.

Admitted to No 8 Field Ambulance, Ferry Post, 18 April 1916 (ingrown toenails); discharged, and rejoined 59th Bn, Duntroon Plateau, 20 April 1916.

Embarked Alexandria to join the British Expeditionary Force, 18 June 1916; disembarked Marseilles, France, 29 June 1916.

Found guilty, 12 July 1916, of conduct to the prejudice of good order and military discipline while being a soldier on Active Service, in that he in the field, 7 July 1916, he was insolent to Sergeant W.H, Hunt: award, severely reprimanded.
