Proceeded overseas to France, 23 August 1916; proceeded to join 55th Battery, 29 October 1916; taken on strength, 55th Battery, in the field, 1 November 1916.

Detached to 57th Battery, 13 February 1917; rejoined unit from detachment, 18 February 1917.

Detached to Artillery course, 21 March 1917; rejoined unit from detachment, 27 March 1917.

Admitted to 72nd Field Ambulance, 18 June 1917 (pyrexia, unknown origin); transferred same day to 3rd Canadian Casualty Clearing Station; to Ambulance train No 14, 22 June 1917, and admitted same day to 3rd Canadian General Hospital, Boulogne; transferred to England, 9 July 1917, and admitted same day to Royal Victoria Hospital, Netley.
