'From 25th February to 16th September, 1918, Sergeant KEAN, as Sergeant Cook, has shown great devotion to duty and by his efforts and care greatly improved the food of the men both in and out of the line. Nothing which would in any way improve the rations of the Battalion is too great a trouble to him and he has shown great ability in his work.'
