Admitted to 2nd Field Ambulance, 22 August 1915 (asthma); transferred to No 1 Australian Casualty Clearing Station, and thence to No 1 Australian Stationary Hospital, Lemnos, 23 August 1915; to 24th Casualty Clearing Station, Mudros, 9 September 1915; discharged, 25 September 1915.

Found guilty, 29 October 1915, of (1) being drunk and (2) creating a disturbance in camp about 9.45 pm: admonished and awarded 7 days' confined to barracks.

Admitted to 1st Australian Dermatological Hospital, Cairo, 1 March 1916; discharged, 16 January 1916, and rejoined unit, Tel el Kebir; total period of treatment for venereal disease: 15 days.

Taken on strength, 49th Bn, 2 April 1916.
