Military Medal 'During the operations at CHUIGNES on August 22nd/26th, 1918, Sapper KENNEDY working as linesman at the Brigade Forward Station displayed wonderful coolness and utter disregard for danger. Despite the enemy's heavy barrage during the initial attack, he maintained a line between the attacking Battalion and the Forward Station. This enabled communication to be kept up.'
