Military Medal 'For his and courage and enterprise during a hostile attack on our advanced posts on the 2nd March, 1917, north - east of LE BARQUE. A strong hostile raiding party had penetrated between our advanced posts and attacked the front Company Headquarters. Pte. KENNEDY, at great personal risk forced his way through the enemy with a message to Battalion Headquarters, and was the means of bringing up reinforcements who were able to disperse the enemy's forces, and prevent them from capturing the Company Headquarters. He has at all times done consistently good work, during the past few months as a runner.'
