Meritorious Service Medal 'This N.C.O. during the period February to September 1917, has shown the greatest devotion to duty and energy in his work. His command of men and organising ability has greatly tended to the benefit of the wounded and sick. his work at times has been under shell fire and under most adverse conditions of accommodation and weather. The work of Staff Sergeant Kennedy has tended to the saving of many lives and is worthy of recognition.'
