War service: Western Front Marched in to No 1 Command Depot, Perham Downs, 2 January 1917. Marched out to Australian Army Medical Corps Training Depot, Parkhouse, 11 January 1917. Found guilty, 19 February 1917, of conduct to the prejudice of good order and Military Displine, namely: insolence to his Superior Officer: awarded forfeiture of 2 days' pay. Proceeded overseas to France, 6 April 1917; marched out to 2nd Division Army Medical Corps, 7 June 1918. Temporarily attached for duty to 7th Field Ambulance from 32nd Bn, 8 June 1917. Taken on strength, 6th Field Ambulance, 14 June 1917. Marched in to Australian General Base Depot, Havre, 26 January 1918. Proceeded to England, 8 February 1918 (rheumatism and varicose veins); marched in to No 2 Command Depot, Weymouth, 9 February 1918. Commenced return to Australia from Plymouth on board HT 'Marathon', 15 April 1918 (Nursing Staff); disembarked Melbourne, 12 June 1918, for onward travel to Adelaide; discharged, Adelaide, 26 July 1918.
