Military Medal 'At MORLANCOURT on night 28/29th July 1918. Conspicuous bravery and devotion to duty. This Signaller worked throughout the night under an intense enemy barrage repairing and patrolling the lines. he showed a total disregard of danger and was largely instrumental in keeping the companies in communication throughout the engagement. And during the whole time displayed a total disregard of personal safety. On the night 29/30th when counter-attack was expected and communication had to be kept at all costs I until end I continuously for 1 Hour.'
