Military Medal 'From 6th to 12th June 1917 near MESSINES these N.C.O.s. were employed with the Divisional Pack Transport Troop. On each night they took supped, water and ammunition to the Battalion Headquarters of 13th Infantry Brigade and on each night the convoys were subjected to heavy shell fire. By their courage and determination they succeeded on every occasion in getting the Pack animals through to their destination and set a very fine example to the men of their section.'
