Admitted to 11th Australian Field Ambulance, 28 March 1918 (accidental injury, right big toe), and transferred to 3rd Canadian Stationary Hospital; to 22nd General Hospital, 30 March 1918; to England, 3 April 1918, and admitted to West Suffolk Hospital, Bury St Edmunds; transferred to 3rd Australian Auxiliary Hospital, Dartford, 2 May 1918; discharged to No 4 Command Depot, Hurdcott, 6 May 1918.

Found guilty, 12 June 1918, of being absent from parade, 10 Junme: awarded 1 day's confined to barracks.

Marched out to Overseas Training Brigade, Longbridge Deverill, 29 June 1918.

Marched out to Reserve Brigade Australian Artillery, Heytesbury, 12 July 1918.

Proceeded overseas to France, 7 August 1918; rejoined unit, in the field, 18 August 1918.

Marched out to England, 2 April 1919, for return to Australia.

Commenced return to Australia on board HT 'Borda', 11 May 1919; disembarked Melbourne, 27 June 1919; discharged (termination of period of enlistment), 12 September 1919.
