Medals |
Military Medal 'This soldier acted as stretcher bearer and during the whole of the operation of August 11th when the village of LIHONS was captured, he worked with splendid courage and tireless energy. He carried without cessation through the whole of the day and most of the night and had repeatedly to pass through a barrage of heavy artillery fire. His great devotion to duty and utter disregard of personal safety doubtless meant the saving of the wounded from much suffering and also saved in all probability many lives.'
