Military Medal 'For continuous good work, devotion to duty and gallantry int he Field over a period of 17 months. On the 8th August he went over with the first wave of the Infantry and under a heavy fire investigated the roads from VILLERS-BRETONNEUX to WARFUSEE-ABANCOURT and assisted in removing 14 enemy mines. He has always shown the greatest coolness under fire.'
