Military Cross 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. At Bellicourt, on 29th September 1918, he acted as forward Liaison Officer. Advancing with the infantry, he obtained and sent in most valuable and accurate information concerning the progress of operations throughout the day, particularly at a time when the infantry situation became obscure. He performed his duties excellently throughout.'
