Taken on strength, 2nd Australian Naval & Military expeditionary Force, 6 September 1914. Returned to Townsville, 18 September 1914, on account of trouble caused by the firemen on troopship. Did not participate in the capture of German New Guinea. Discharged from the AN&MEF, 18 September 1914. Eligible for British War Medal.
